WHAT ARE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS?

I am a Holistic Nutritionist and Certified Health Coach (CHC) with a Holistic Health Practitioner License. I earned my certification at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and am currently earning my Bachelors of Science in Nutrition. After that I will be able to receive the Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist designation. My education included studying under some of the top names in holistic health, nutrition, and functional medicine; such as Dr. Mark Hyman MD, etc.
 

WHAT DOES “PERSONALIZED COACHING” MEAN?

One major aspect of my education and my practice is Bio-individuality, which is a theory that there is no one specific diet, set of rules, or plan that works for everyone and their overall health. This is due to the multitude of other factors that affect our health; from our environment and location to our ancestry and life experience. So, though there is a basis for what is healthy vs unhealthy, you can’t find true whole-life health without looking at everything else as well. Personalized coaching means that I follow that theory in my practice; I work closely with every client to determine what they specifically may need to reach their health and wellness goals. I get to know each client, so that I can offer them the best guidance for them, their situation, their goals, and what whole-life health means to them.
 

WHAT HAPPENS AT A CONSULTATION?

A consultation is a simple 30-minute meet and greet; it serves as a way for us to get to know each other and determine whether or not we should move forward with a coaching relationship together. I’ll ask you questions about your life, your health goals, and why you sought out a health coach. I’ll give you information about myself and offer you the opportunity to ask me questions. These sessions can be done in person, over the phone, or in a video call. You’ll be asked to let me know your preference after your consultation is scheduled.
 

IS EVERYTHING I TELL YOU CONFIDENTIAL?

Yes! As a certified and licensed Health Coach, I am held to the same confidentiality laws as anyone who offers healthcare. Ojas Wellness and Nutrition is HIPPA compliant. If you would like to read my privacy and HIPPA policy, click here. Anything you tell me remains between us, unless otherwise specified. If you would like your progress or plan shared with your primary care physician, a family member, or anyone else, there is a release form you can sign. I want you to feel comfortable talking with me and, most importantly, telling me the truth. Because, if you aren’t honest with me, then I can’t offer you the best care.
 

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Yes! I offer a wide variety of payment plans, depending on the package or program you’re purchasing as well as your individual needs. Contact me at info@ojaswellnessohio.com to inquire about building a payment plan that suits you.
 

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

Unfortunately, I am unable to widely accept insurance at this time. Health coaching isn’t covered by most insurance providers, barring special circumstances. If you believe your insurance would cover my services, please contact me at info@ojaswellnessohio.com with the information and I will absolutely fill out the necessary forms and do whatever I can to get that set up for you. I hope to be able to accept insurance widely within the next year or so.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?

After your consultation, if you decide to move forward with coaching, we will schedule your first session. This appointment will consist of going over your health history forms, discussing your goals, and beginning to construct a plan to reach your goals. You’ll leave with a welcome gift, a few simple instructions, some information to read, and a follow-up appointment scheduled or a tentative time to check in again set.
